Malcolm Told Us

Yesterday I reposted video clips of Malcolm X speaking clearly to Us. In one of the clips, He says that one day Black people are going to fully come to terms with our magnificence, drowning out all the racist rhetoric and propaganda about who We are not, that We will have each other’s backs at all costs;  and only then, will we see change in a new kind of world—a world where We are not treated like children, beaten as if We are not precious, and murdered like Our lives do not matter. Malcolm X continued, saying that We will exact change when We force the change for Ourselves. He said that no juries or judges or allies or law changes will make the change we crave and have always deserved. (The Indigenous deserve and want Justice. Migrants deserve and want justice, too.) We must force Justice’s homecoming. Malcolm X said that WHEN that day came, when we GOT EACH OTHER, no matter the danger, WE will force the change OURSELVES. That that is the way it is going to happen. It is the only way.

That day is here. Black people from ALL OVER THIS WORLD, STAND TOGETHER. There is no going back to the silence we have screamed within Ourselves as we are beaten and murdered before the silence of this country and world—including Our own silence in the form of Our mental illness, PTSD, as we face many of the horrors Our Ancestors faced; generations after generations of slaughter and no justice. We literally are not able to go back to that existence. We are not meant to go backwards. No one is. Malcolm told Us this day would come. If there is no Justice, there will be no Peace.
