George Floyd is One in a Million

George Floyd, I am so sorry that you were murdered by this white, racist cop with the Minneapolis PD. He treated you as if you were not human. You should be alive. I’m so sorry. My heart hurts.

Black Americans, We must begin to legally buy weapons. We have never not been under attack, and today is no different. Our men, Womxn, and Children are being beaten, treated like trash, and/or murdered—by whomever feels like murdering Us. We will fight back because We must. We have tried every other way. There is no other way.

Tamar Rice🤎 (12 yrs. old, murdered while playing with a toy gun with friends at a neighborhood park, no charges, 2014)

Trayvon Martin🤎 (17 yrs. old, shot for not being respectful to a creepy stranger—who murdered Him, no charges, 2015)

Sandra Bland (murdered by cop on Her way to a new job at HBCU, Prairie View A&M University, for being thoughtful by moving to another lane to cop car with lights on go; she was also killed for knowing her rights and being a confident Black womxn; the cops staged her death to look like suicide, no charges, 2015)

Betty Jones (murdered by cop who said it was an accident, no charges)

India Kager (murdered by cops while driving her car which had her nursing baby in it; the cops who fired over 30 shots into Her car, said she fired at them first—and yet they found no gun, no charges)

Freddie Gray (murdered by multiple cops due to them treating Him as if He weren’t a real person, Mr. Gray died from spinal cord injury, no charges)

Eric Garner (murdered by cop who strangled Him to death, in a chokehold, no charges)

Michael Brown (17 yrs. old, murdered by cops with no weapon, hands up “please don’t shoot, no charges)

And millions more since before 1619.
