For the Love of Maud
On this day, which would have been his 26th birthday, Black people and our allies, run, walk, and jog all across these United States in protest and solidarity for Ahmaud Arbery, who was lynched by gregory and travis mcmicaels and William Bryan on February 23, 2020. We join together to convey to Arbery’s family that we care, we see, and we fight for their justice and for the justice of every Black person who was ever murdered in this country without any semblance of justice or bittersweet closure—by law enforcement, government, stranger, “friend “ or foe.

Most are aware that gregory and travis mcmichaels were arrested last night, but until they are convicted, along with William Bryan, and are sentenced to spend the rest of their lives in prison, along with every other murderer of innocent, lawful Black people, WE MUST NOT AND CANNOT CEASE TO FIGHT THE POWER OF HATE AND WHITE SIPREMACY.
