I AM BLACK and Proud

Every race, especially one in particular,  appropriates every bit of what makes us so beautiful, unique, outstanding, and who we are;  and then doesn't give us an ounce of credit. But I'm proud to say that regardless of race, we never exclude anyone. I'm proud that we are known for that. For love. I've never been more proud to be BLACK in my life. Since I came to be human I was given messages from every direction that I was not GOOD. (I used to pretend I had long non-African hair by putting a towel on my head for God's sake! Ugh...) FROM EVERY DIRECTION I WAS TOLD I WAS NOT GOOD BECAUSE I WAS BLACK. It's alot to fight against and overcome. And I have. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE PROUD TO BE BLACK.
