Be Aware, Be Very Aware

I never thought I would be one to talk about republicans and Democrats as if one were better than the other. As a Black Womxn in amerikkka and in this world ( I travel), it always felt like I was choosing the lessor of two evils. But in a surprising plot twist, I now see that the Democrats are actually our last hope.

The republicans are not only emboldened, they are relentless and determined. Them drafting and enacting voter suppression legislation in 47 states, the postal master, #dejoy , in the process of shutting down post offices and ending first class mail, the discontinuation of using airplanes to deliver mail (trucks only), and them rejecting election decisions (Pennsylvania, Arizona, and it will continue like a viral conflagration) at their whim and in destruction of this country’s fragile and systemically inequitable, corrupt, democracy. 

Again, the lengths in which they will go to hold onto power and keep this country majority white, are endless. They vote “no” on programs that seek to help the poor, build the middle class (create living wage jobs,  expansive repair and the building of infrastructure—including going green, which will create even more jobs; as well as, our need to transition into electric [think affordable all electric cars] and address how to concretely make the necessary changes—immediately—to fight global warming; these are existential imperatives) because their goal is to widen, not lessen, the wealth gap. Don't you see it?

THEIR GOAL IS TO EVER WIDEN THE CLASS GAP. Their goal is autocracy.
