Flashpoint

I share about racism, injustice, lynchings, etc because people don't tend to know the injustice that takes place EVERYDAY, and thus it is not real to them; they say things like "There must be more to the story” or a "I can't read these articles because it's negative or upsetting, or posting that stuff is not about the solution." Psychologically, our reality is heavy and can create ptsd symptoms--when something is happening and person after person tells you it didn't happen, you feel like you've lost your mind.
But we are strong.
We keep getting back up.
We keep creating.
We keep writing.
We keep telling our stories.
We continue making our music and creating our fashions and dance...
Creating.
We invent.
We get back up every time. Against all odds, we thrive like no other can. We fight against the pigs, we walk through our fears and fight back against injustice. One hand thrown back to connect with those coming up behind us; we pull each other up.
And we pull each other up.
And we pull each other up.
