night swim

thick dark night except for the bright movie quality light beaming underneath the water toward the middle of the pool i throw the red striped pool towel my keys my phone onto the lounge chair i can't wait to get into the pool surrender and relaxation await me as i descend the steps the warm pool water devours my feet my ankles my legs my knees my hips my stomach my chest surrender i twist and fall to my back floating legs gently open and close like a scissor my arms extend out above my head hands moving like a hula dancer all i hear is my breath in and out husky breathing all i see is night sky ensconced in stars all i am thinking is nothing
