All The Trees Glisten

In an April, decades past and also in the now and 12, 222 years into the future, something...switched. A click. All times at once. Something new, happened. Past, present, future, all together. All my selves felt it. Written in the eternal cards. It was always meant to be. And it began with the trees.

All the trees began to glisten. Although I know in the marrow of my bones that they were always being their radiant, magical selves, I hadn't seen it before then. It was as if 54 years into the future I saw these magnificent Beings in a completely new light. I felt them, too, as they hand danced in slow motion with the wind. I heard their wordless love language within my heart space.

I wasn't merely walking suburban sidewalks on my way to the neighborhood library. I was being carried. Crowd surfing the wise limbs of the tallest city trees, emboldened upon their limitless branches.

I had clearly walked through an unfathomable portal where all life was preciously important. The shortest trees and crunchy rust-colored trees, fat trees, slight trees, yellow-leaved trees, cobwebbed riddled bushes, teeming with life, flowers and fruit-ladened shrubs, and all the humans, and all the bugs, and all the animals, like the squirrel casually leaning over the branch of a giant ficus tree, hanging onto every word of good tidings pouring from my mouth, "Hi, lovable, precious Being we call squirrels. I see you."

In this new, magical, crystal clear, radiant world, nothing was nothing. Not least of all the lives of 3 spiders found in the nick of time drowning in Louie the cat's outdoor water bowl. From one micro-ant in Singapore to 5 blades of tall grass growing in the shade of a yard in Detroit, a plumeria tree stood tall on a corner in Kailua, an houseless, shoeless man named Reese made to sleep in the streets of New Orleans. Everybody, everything, every itty bitty microscopic Being is, Something. Important. Special. Magic.

All the trees glisten. They all glisten for me. For all of you. And for the existence of all eternal Beings.

I live in a magical dimension where I glisten for all the trees. I glisten for you. And I glisten for me.
