The Handmaid’s Tale is getting way deep by exploring the complicity of the white woman with the white male misogynist and racist status quo. The nuanced message is resounding. I can’t believe the show is even revealing such a unexamined truth... June has been asserting herself as misunderstood victim, but is finally faced with seeing that her actions of privilege and entitlement harm everyone, especially Black people, she comes in contact with. I am blown away.
