You’re not asking for too much

I am not speaking of my having EXPECTATIONS of others; I am speaking of having standards. I never had them before. I just thought I was always wrong—about everything, and that my desires were always asking too much; even if what I wanted was simply desiring to be treated with the lovingkindness I shower my friends, family, neighbors, my Godchildren, the children in my life, classmates, professors, homeless people, cashiers, people I walk by, and everyone God has caused me to cross paths with. I felt unworthy of the treatment I desire, give, and demand today. I am not asking for too much.
